The thesis emphasizes on the application of multimedia in physics teaching inmiddle schools based on the analysis of traditional teaching media and modern ones.The development of multimedia computer assisted instruction brings completeinnovation on the concept, purpose, content, form, method, technology andorganizational administration in educational fields. The study object in thethesis---physics instructional design in middle schools based on MCAI teachingmode, integrated the factors such as curriculum plan, standard, teaching processin class and instructional media,etc. with the theory of instruction,learning theoryand transmitting theory, discuss the instructional design methods and approachbased on MCAI.The thesis systematically expatiates on the concept, theoretical basis anddesign program on teaching planning adopting the principle of integrating theorywith practice and the actual experience in the physics teaching in middle schools bythe author. Aiming at the existing application in physics teaching in middle schools,through theoretical and practical illustration, not only does it affirm the greatsignificance for multimedia in middle school physics teaching, but points out somemalpractices for the application of multimedia technology due to inappropriatemedium analysis with knowledge by students and teachers and improper teachingtactics.MCAI technology has wide future for application. Multimedia teaching mustbecome the pillar of modern educational technology on the trend of multimediatechnology. The broadest and most popular form for MCAI technology is still thefabrication and usage of multimedia courseware at the current stage for middleschools, in consideration of the actuality of the medium resources in most schoolsand application level for teachers. It also discourses on the principles and methodsfor the fabrication and usage of multimedia resources.
