Teaching efficacy is the conception and confidence with which a teacher organizes and carries out his teaching actions. As a crucial factor to explain the teaching motives, teaching efficacy is influential to a teacher's enthusiasm and efforts to his teaching tasks, and his adherence when being confronted with difficulties. According to Bandura's self- efficacy theory, teaching efficacy can be divided into two aspects, personal teaching efficacy and general teaching efficacy.P. E. teachers are the direct executives of school P.E. teaching, shouldering the important task of building up the youths'bodies and improving their health both in body and mind. Their teaching ability is the personal psychological feature that influences the efficacy of P.E. teaching directly, and the most direct and effective among the factors on the teacher's side that influence the efficacy of P.E. teaching. Teaching efficacy, namely the subjective cognition and valuation of P.E. teacher on their own teaching abilities, exerts direct influence upon their dominant role in the course of P.E. teaching.However, in the previous researches on the P.E. teachers'teaching efficacy, many of the researchers have been limited to discuss in the macroscopically and theoretical perspectives the relative factors and cultivating strategies concerning teaching efficacy, lacking specific and deeping analysis. Regarding this, this thesis discuss the personal teaching efficacy of P.E. teachers on the basis of P.E. teaching practice, aiming to find out the features of P.E. teachers'personal teaching efficacy, to provide new perspectives and methods to the future training of P.E. teachers, and to provide references to the future researches on teaching efficacy. This thesis employs the methods of checking literature, consulting experts, surveying questionnaire, mathematical statistics, and logical analysis, to investigate and analyze the personal teaching efficacy of the P.E. teachers in Changchun, thus came to the following preliminary conclusions:1.The personal teaching efficacy can be estimated in four dimensions, teaching cognition efficacy, teaching design efficacy, teaching operation efficacy, and teaching monitoring efficacy.2.Male and female teachers are different to some extent in the various dimensions concerning the personal teaching efficacy, but male teachers are significantly higher than female in the overall level of teaching efficacy.3.Bachelor teachers and junior college teachers are different to some extent in the various dimensions concerning the personal teaching efficacy, Bachelor teachers are inferior...
