Recently the chemistry multimedia Computer-aided instruction (MCAI) in the middle school has developed like a raging fire in our country. It has taken quite great progress in the theory and the software developing. But there are a lot of difficulty in the middle school chemistry MCAI which has been the bottle-neck restricting its development and reduced the space of conforming information technology and chemistry.The thesis introduces the concept, the characteristic, the theory foundation and realistic significance of MCAI, and the developing general situation in the middle school chemistry MCAI. Moreover, it discusses and analyses the issue of the middle chemistry MCAI from the study theory, the MCAI technology and practice in conformity.As to these problems, setting Alkane courseware as a good example, based on the constructivism theory, the thesis discourses upon the whole process of selecting title, instructional design, compiling manuscript, making material, compounding courseware, package and publishing. And the thesis emphasizes the practical technologies such as integrableware and Accelrys viewer ActiveX control. In order to describe the instructional design and application strongly, the thesis discusses the testing evaluation and application in conformity about the chemistry MCAI in the middle school in detail by the method of questionnaire and analyzing examples. At last the thesis forecasts optimistically the developing of the chemistry MCAI in the middle school.
