In order to fit for the construction demand of socialistic modernization in 21st century and put the grand strategy of rejuvenating the country through science and education in practice, Higher Education Management System Reform, implemented in China in 1990s, became an important measure which can expedite the development of higher education project. Under the constantly deepening reform and open policy and gradually consummating socialism market economic system, this reform was firmly carried out. It sticked to the guidelines of joint administration, adjustment, cooperation, and amalgamation, with adjustment and amalgamation as its essence. During the eleven years from 1992 to 2003, a total of 788 institutions of higher learning had been amalgamated into 314, a cut of 474.This prevailing amalgamation was so eye-catching and controversial that it shocked people's hearts and evoked nationwide repercussions, especially when a batch of super-scale universities came into being in succession in about 2000.However, the merger is just primary stage.It is importment for combined higher education institutions to adjust and integrate themselves, which is not only a crucial problem for their intending development, but also a sticking point to verify the revolution policy. With the adjustment and integration of combined higher education institutions, the author's research has already gone deep into the problem on collocation and recombination of various higher educational resource inside the universities. This dissertation focuses on the question about how to integrate the resource and develop themselves after several colleges or universities have merged, so that its research production can impel the combined higher education institutions to health development and even the entire higher education to long-term development.At the beginning of the dissertation, the author completely describes the amalgamating course in 1990s firstly. Afterwards, there is a nice depiction on developing actuality of combined higher education institutions. And then, the author analyses the achievement and finds the problems that come forth in the process of reform in order to discuss how to make progress of merged universities. The dissertation insistently places emphasis on various higher educational resource which can be transformed into beneficial production. Meanwhile, the author makes use of intensive economy theoretics in a creative way to overcome the difficulty of reorganizing resource in the combined higher education institutions. Moreover, aperfect idea about intensive integration exist in the dissertation. The next, the author explains the motivity, the resistance and scale economy effect on intensive integration in detail. In order to carry out the task effectively, it is necessary to establish basic principle and make some countermeasures. While regarding discipline construction as body growth, culture integration as soul shaping, competence formation as power congregation, the author considers the three aspects compose university organization all together. In course of intensive integration of higher educational resource, the combined higher education institutions have acquired competitive advantages and achieved continuable development. Therefore, the research in the dissertation will show itself great significance. It will give birth to remarkable value and provide direct guidance for teaching staff of the merged universities.
