On the surface they are enthusiastic about the reforms in education, but actually they continue exam-oriented education with religious care. Nowadays the open society is appealing for open education. And open education needs teachers with an open mind and open theory. Accompanied by a new reform in the curricula, the new curricula criterion has put forward a new claim in the teaching of writing. In order to adapt to the demands of the society , teachers should change their ideas of the teaching of writing and overcome all kinds of disadvantages which come from the enclosed teaching in exam-oriented education. This is also for deepening the reform in the teaching of writing and making the demands of the new curricula criterion come true. But that is not enough . We should also build up an all-around and ordered and open teaching environment. The teaching of writing in the country is very weak and most Chinese teachers teach writing just by following the prescribed order. And the students face writing with many difficulties because they live in a small area and have a little knowledge. Their compositions are not creative , superficial and changeless. They are also lack of feelings , visualization and lifelikeness. With a background of the new curricula, I bring forward an assumption about the open teaching of writing on the basis of the traditional teaching in the junior high schools of the country. This assumption is based on students and respect of life in which students can exhibit their personalities. The teaching of Chinese should aim at the development of students' Chinese culture and the sustainable development of a person. The open teaching of writing can break through the textbooks in the teaching content and can walk out of classes in the teaching space . It also can break the limit of the same require in the teaching objects. The open teaching of writing in the country under the new curricula should be discussed in the following six aspects: teaching objectives, teaching content, teaching process, teaching time and space, teaching appraisal and teaching methods. Teachers should encourage students to walk out of the enclosed classes and break the limit of 45 minutes. Teachers can encourage students to be studious of accumulating and observe carefully. The subject of compositions can be free and open. This can open students' thought and feeling and let them open to the society. Students can cooperate with others freely in writing and they can also appraise each other's compositions. This gives them a good chance to communicate with each other. Students can write compositions with their personalities and their true inside feelings. They won't be worried about writing. And they will be really in such a state: What I say is what I think and what I write is what I say.The reform of the new curricula is deepening and more and more people pay attention to the study and exploration on this problem. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | the new curricula, open, the teaching of writing, thinking, practicing | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
