Culture and language are closely related with each other. Language is a part of culture and plays an important role in it. On other hand, language is influenced by culture and reflects culture. Understanding one requires understanding the other. Learning a foreign language not only means mastering the pronunciation, grammar, words and idioms, but also means learning how the native speakers of that language see things, see the world, and how they use language to reflect their ideas, customs, behavior of their society and values. So learning a foreign language is inseparable from learning its culture. On the basis of this point, the thesis has a further discussing about the English culture acquisition in senior school from the perspective of the student learning according to new standard English syllabus . the thesis mainly generalizes and summarizes the content of the culture acquisition so that students are not blind about them. Meanwhile the thesis has also developed the methods and the approaches. Besides the thesis has discussed the strategy of culture acquisition so that learners can study and absorb the soul of the English language and the culture in it. At the same time, the thesis has given several situations that should be avoided in the English culture acquisition, such as the Culture Stereotyping, Acculturation, and Ethnocentrism.
