Influenced by "monologue" teaching for a long time, Ideological and Political Teaching is in the monologue status of being instilled and brainwashed by the teachers and passively accepted by students. It goes far away from the real situation of live and happy Ideological and Political Teaching and betrays its nature in certain degree. To solve this problem, based on a deep understanding of Senior High school Ideological and Political Course Standard, this essay borrows from relevant research result of Dialogue Teaching and tries to explore how Dialogue can be applied in Ideological and Political Teaching both from theory and practice through studying the characteristics of Ideological and Political Course. This essay has three parts.Part One: General survey of Dialogue Teaching. This part takes "Dialogue" as logical premise, tries to* completely understand Dialogue, thus deduces the basic content df Dialogue Teaching and also analyzes its relevant theoretical base and main characteristics, and finally concludes Dialogue and Communication between teachers and students is a necessity for teaching to change from meaning to activity and Dialogue teaching is the place where meaning gets itself.Part Two: The pattern and construction of Ideological and Political Dialogue Teaching. Dialogue Teaching in education fully represents the spirit of age for Dialogue. As a main method for school moral education, Ideological and Political Teaching will inevitably combine with Dialogue to form a new teaching pattern. Based on an investigation of current situation of high school Ideological and Political Teaching and a thorough thought of Monologue Teaching, this part proposes Ideological and Political Teaching should change from teachers' monologue to dialogue between teachers and students and also defines the content for Ideological and Political Dialogue Teaching. Then, it explains four ways to develop Ideological and Political Teaching, that is, dialogue between teachers and students, dialogue among students, dialogue between teachers, students and books, and students' self dialogue, to promote students' self construction and growth. It further proposes rational mode and teaching strategy of Ideological and Political Dialogue Teaching byanalyzing psychological mode of Dialogue Teaching. These contents have different emphasis but are also standardized to reveal the unique attraction of Ideological and Political Dialogue Teaching pattern.Part Three: Exploration and analysis of key issues of Ideological and Political Dialogue Teaching. Dialogue Teaching emphasizes process-teaching; thus so-called teaching mode and strategy are some guidance of direction; but not trivial mechanical procedure. There are a lot of hard and key points to be solved before Ideological and Political Dialogue Teaching can truly be applied in teaching practice. This part tries to explore several key issues in Ideological and Political Dialogue Teaching from three aspects; i.'e.; creating dialogue environment; role play of dialogist; design of topics and choice of content. It also points out several misunderstanding and alienation phenomenon that should be avoided when applying Ideological and Political Dialogue Teaching.Dialogue teaching represents the age spirit of dialogue. It not only changes traditional purpose and method of teaching; but also ethics and thinking of teaching. It is still too early for Dialogue Teaching to be a common practice in education; but it is undisputable to become new education spirit and reform direction of Ideological and Political Teaching.
