Objective: 1) To explore reliability and validity of clinical skill examination that applied in medical graduates in our school through theory analysis and investigation of practical use, hope to provide useful information for clinical examination's reform and completion in the future. 2) To research the result of clinical skill examination and give feedback to department of clinical teaching administration, make them realize the importance of clinical skill's training for students. Methods: 1) Slect and input the graduates' skills performances in consecutive three years ,set database of performances.2) We investigated some students and examiners who take part in the clinical skill examination by questionnaire. Results: 1) The clinical skill examination in our school is reliable and validated. students and examiner are satisfied with the design and organization of clinical skill examination. It can be used as a effective tool to evaluate students' skill. 2) There is no significant increase in graduates'skill performance in consecutive three years. The number of students fail physical station , radiology station, electrocardio station, hart sound station is much higher than those students who fail other stations. 3) The distance of clinical skill examination between han students and minority students is decreasing. 4) The cognitive examination and clinical examination have correlation. 5) Our students take different rotation order and model during their internship, no differences can be found in their performances. Conclusions: Clinicalskill examination has good reliability and validity. It is accepted by students, teachers and can be effectively used to access the students'clinical skills. We should continue construct the examination station to serve us better in the future through it's function of encouragement, monitoring and feedback.
