School-based curriculum development is an important content of the foundation education reform, and it has just been started in most of the schools in our country. Few specialized researches are made especially into the school-based curriculum development about thought politics in common senior high schools. Most politics teachers don't know how to deal with the school-based curriculum development in practice. This dissertation is to throw light upon its value and present situation, the concrete operation methods of exploring and developing process, so as to push it to develop extensively, deeply and healthily. The research methods mainly adopted in this research are the literature research method, the case method and the interview method, and case studies are used in small scale in the research. The literature research method is mainly to make researches into the theories of school-based curriculum development by comparing them, find out the meaning of school-based curriculum development, and realize realistic meaning of school-based curriculum development. Method of case adopts the way of combining theories and examples together. Interview method is used to find out different people's attitudes and understanding to the school-based curriculum development, the questions met with during the school-based curriculum development, the effects of the development and so on. And questionnaires are assisted with for further argumentation. This dissertation centers on theories and fulfillment of school-based curriculum development and the present situation of teaching of thought politics in senior high school, elaborating the important meanings and the educational functions of school-based curriculum development on Senior Thought Politics, mainly searching after how to develop it more effectively and putting forward the questions that must be paid attention to when developing and the countermeasures. This dissertation systematically introduces the value and the present situation of school-based curriculum development and how to carry through the school-based curriculum development on Senior Thought Politics. And the developing process is not only concrete but also explicit. The theories are combined with the examples, and it is very easy for teachers of thought politics to manipulate. Therefore, this dissertation is provided with certain theoretic meanings and the value of practice.
