With the development of our society, agricultural economy has developed to a new stage. Agricultural modernization and productivity depend on the agriculture- popularizing education to a large extent, and it is of great importance to developing the educational level of rural people, promoting the introduction of agricultural sci-tech achievements, realizing the agricultural modernization, and dealing with the "san-nong" issues.This thesis firstly analyses the successful experience in this field both home and abroad, as well as China's current situation. At present, a large number of peasants have need for training, and their needs of training show a tendency towards pluralityization, namely from the training of traditional agricultural techniques into the training of planting cash crops and producing non-agricultural products. Meanwhile, the situation of the staff is unsatisfying: there is a great shortage of staff;the proportion of them is unreasonable;and they are unqualified. The problem of the current agriculture-popularizing education is that it only cultivates one kind of staff, it stresses theory, but ignores practice. With the development of economy, the current agriculture-popularizing education can no longer match the development of modern agriculture. The modern agriculture has a higher demand for spreading education than before.This thesis analyses the above problems. Depending on the agricultural university, the human resources in scientific research, and the regional resources in Yangling, this thesis puts forward four kinds of modes, that is, the mode of training versatile staff, the mode of training pragmatic staff, the mode of exhibiting and exchanging technical achievements, and the mode of training staff at training bases.The mode of training versatile staff refers to the under- and post-graduate education in this field. The mode of training pragmatic staff refers to the vocational education. The purpose of the two modes is to educate professionals at a high level. The mode of exhibiting and exchanging technical achievements and the mode of training staff at training bases aim at training peasants.There should be corresponding policies and guarantee mechanism to ensure the implementation of these modes. They include enhancing the governmental control, improving the educational environment, reforming the investment and financing system, perfecting the investment system of the agriculture-popularizing education, promoting the agriculture-popularizing education, and educating qualified professionals.The popularization of agriculture is not merely the transmission of theories, experience, and scientific technology, but also an activity that has a strong educational function. The agriculture-popularizing education is an important way of promoting theagriculture-popularizing cause. In order to obtain the agricultural strategic objectives of our country, it is necessary to develop the agriculture-popularizing education. At first, find out the main part of education and practice. Secondly, coordinate the agricultural research, the popularization of technology, and the education of peasants. Thirdly, train peasants dynamically. Finally, establish various agriculture-popularizing educational unities.
