| Higher education management theory as a part of higher education theory plays a very important role, and the management theory of undergraduates is an important part of it. Undergraduates autonomy management conforms to both the psychological characteristics of undergraduates and the objective requirements of social development for human resources, moreover it is consistent with the trend of modern undergraduates management including humanization, democratization, and legalization. There are many researches in management theory of undergraduates home and abroad, but less in the theory of undergraduates autonomy management.Based on domestic and abroad literature research on the achievements of undergraduates autonomy management, the author introduces the background and significance of the study, and the latest development in this field. Under the guidance of sciences of Education, Management, Psychology and Law, the paper explains the concept and meaning of undergraduates management, autonomy management and undergraduates autonomy management by means of literature review and demonstration research. On the basis of problems in Chinese undergraduates autonomy management, it gives some countermeasures and proposals on how to improve the capacity of undergraduates autonomy management in China, including transformation of concepts in the whole society, establishment of mechanisms to strengthen undergraduates autonomy management in colleges and universities, and undergraduates to enhance autonomy management by themselves. The demonstration research which contains the survey of Dalian University of Technology also serves as a case study.The breakthrough of the research exists in a supplementary of undergraduates autonomy management in theory by using of interdisciplinary research. The case of Dalian University of Technology makes it more creditable. The operational proposal for colleges and universities will be of a certain practical value.
