Nvshu: Examining It From The Science Of Education

As a special written language, Nvshu spreads only among women and used only for local women, which men always don't care and know nothing about it. Men have their own written language, that's Chinese.Nvshu was found in 1950s. Local women loved it deeply and it was closely related to the local customs, women's living condition and the social history and culture background. At the same time, the produce, express style, learning content and delivery of it are all related with the education of Chinese culture. This reflects that women desire for education and satisfied with themselves.The delivery of Nvshu neither happened in schools nor between thematers and disciples after a certain ceremony. It happens in the family from older ones to youngsters, from mother or grandmother to the girls of next generation, from women to women deeply branded with women's characteristics, produced the history of women's own education and created marvel in the history of Chinese women's education.The learning and delivering of Nvshu itself is a kind of education. In this special educational activity, it is not only inherit from ancient Chinese educational thought, but also has its own special things, we should recover its valuable and plain educational ideas, to show its charm and absorb its experience which will give us some inspiration and reference for nowadays Chinese education especially for women's education.
