No matter what the 11th Party Congress proposed that it is should be put Zhejiang Province into a economic province, cultural province, educational province; or the 12th Party Congress of Zhejiang province proposed to unswervingly follow the way of "business makes the rich and innovation strengthens the province" ---- that is the "two creations" strategy, are inseparable from the population's exaltation of cultural qualities. In fact, the educational status of women who occupying half of the population of the province are lower than the educational status of men, therefore, the sticking point to improve the people's cultural qualities of the whole province is to enhance the cultural quality of the educational status of women. To some extent, the advancement of women's education will determine the target of economic province, cultural province, educational province, and the realization of the "two creations" strategy.Women's educational level is the precondition and prerequisite which is used to measure the development and social participation of women, and is also the important symbol of Social status of women, social development and social civilization. Women's education has become the core issues of national and regional development policies. If there is no advancement of women, it will affect the healthy development of society. Last fifteen years, the Chinese government who in order to realize the goal of women's educational planning, has made great achievements, but, at the same time, it faces many difficulties which can not be ignored.Educational status of women is women's equal degree which is relative to men's in rights and opportunities in the allocation system of educational resources (including formal education and adult continuing education), and the gender power relations which is reflected by this equal degree. The research object of this paper is a group of women in Zhejiang Province, especially women groups of mountain area, including adults, adolescents and girls. This paper uses an empirical study and sample survey research methods, complemented by case studies and document studies. After lots of research, data collection and intensive analysis, then gains the corresponding conclusions.It is found that whether in the primary education, secondary education, high school education, higher education, tertiary education, undergraduate education, graduate education and various stages of education, the educational status of women in Zhejiang Province have been greatly improved. However, compared to men, women's educational status is still lower---- although the gender gap narrows, it still exists, and can not be ignored. In the city, town and rural area of Zhejiang province, educational status of women has a large disparity. The educational status of rural women is significantly behind the status of women's education in the city and the town. And compared to the whole country and the economically developed coastal provinces and cities, the status of women's education in Zhejiang Province is lower than them.The regional disparity is also apparent.Therefore, studying the condition of the states of women's education about fifteen years has great theoretical and practical values. This paper intends to sort out the changes and features of the status of women's education of Zhejiang Province about fifteen years, and investigate the development of the status of women's education problems and their impact which in order to offer the constructive suggestions and opinions. It hopes that the women education of Zhejiang province will be better in the future.
