The article aims to research and study role conflict and job satisfaction of PE teachers in middle school, and analyze demonstratively by visiting and questionnaires. The content of questionnaires are respectively referred to role apperception questionnaire by Rizzo et al (1970) and questionnaire of job satisfaction by Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. After visit these PE teachers, the author emends part entries and carry though demonstrative analysis of factors and analysis of validity and reliability, and then shapes the questionnaire of job satisfaction that adapts to PE teachers. The author researched role conflict and job satisfaction of 260 PE teachers in middle school in some provinces, Hubei, Jiangxi, Zhejiang, Guangdong, etc. The article uses software of SPSS 11.5 to analyze 229 available data by investigation results by one-way ANOVA, correlation and regression, seeing about state of role conflict and job satisfaction of PE teachers in middle school, difference in variable of demography and correlation between them.Primary results of research as follow:1. State of role conflict of PE teachers in middle school belongs to middle-low -level. Each dimensionality of role conflict degree from high to low follows: inherence role conflict, social role conflict, specialty role conflict and administration role conflict. State of job satisfaction of PE teachers belongs to middle-high -level. Each dimensionality of job satisfaction degree from high to low follows: relation of job, communication of information, job acceptability, participating in decision-making, respect, job environment, system of management, growing and developing, labor pay and welfare.2. Administration role conflict, social role conflict, teaching role conflict, inherence role conflict and specialty role conflict of PE teachers in middle school all reach great remarkable levels in variable of demography. Variable of demography has a great remarkable effect on role conflict.3. There is a negative correlation between role conflict and job satisfaction of PE teachers in middle school. Inherence role conflict, social role conflict, specialty role conflict and administration role conflict of them influent job satisfaction. The higher role conflict is, the lower job satisfaction is.
