Art appreciation is one of the required courses of ordinary senior school students. It plays the educational role from the angle of vision, which is special and different from other courses. This course develops students' feeling and comprehension of art and mould their feelings in the form of art.So we can say art education makes its unique contributions to improving students' multiple qualities. Art is an important carrier as well as an important part of culture. It can not be separated from other cultural levels such as science, moral, region and so on. first chapter analysis the present condition of senior art appreciation teaching. That includes school's ignorance to this course, description of present textbook and popular influence on students .The second chapter describes the affect that human science have on art creation. It concerns the development of society, literature, region, philosophy, and science, taking Renaissance art as the example. The third part states the aim of spreading art culture in art appreciation course in theory. That's to say, to improve students' aesthetic quality and ethical attainments and so on. The last part suggests five approaches to spreading art culture in the course. First, teach it according to the art history. Second, connect it with other courses. Third, raising teachers' multiple qualities. Fourth, cultivate students' ability of judging. The last is watching multiculture. I have got these approaches in my teaching practice. And I aim to clarify spreading art culture plays a great part in many ways. Such as, improving classroom teaching efficiency and students' multiple qualities, then realizing the goal of art education. They understand the relations between art and cultural environment by art culture. Furthermore, they increases their aesthetic faculties during the course of enjoying, distinguishing, and evaluating works of art. Only by realizing the cultural connotation can the standard of art appreciation education be improved indeed.
