The essay ,which used many methods such as literature-search method,interview-experts method, comparing and analytical method reviewed andgroped for the elements of wushu-schools from the point of view ofculture-geography. The essay showed the wushu-school's form had twocorrelational aspects:1. the elements of culture;2.the elements of geographysurroundings.Chinese culture,which is one of the most distinguished culture,has a longhistory and profound content.As one part of national culture heritage,wushuprotects and displays culture through body movements.However,because cultureforms and categories exit differences in different cultural districts,wherewushu-school circulated would be different.For example,zhongyuan culturaldistrict broods the hard and sturdy shaolin-school,jingchu cultural districtproduces the soft and graceful wudang-school,and bashu cultural district givesbirth to the active and still e`mei–school.Cultural districts are the majorfactors that promote wushu thriving and prosperous.Combining the origin ofwushu-school and cultural district,using a new angle,we analyze the Chinesewushu in order to serve the wushu theory and offer the assistance to the currentscholars.Our traditional culture came into being at the atmosphere of culturecontending.From Confucius and mengzi to the Confucianism,Taoism andBuddhism existing together,the Chinese traditional culture reflect hercompatibility which affect wushu-school obviously.Wushu culture,one part ofChinese traditional culture,during her development,digests and absorbs lots ofnutrition from other fields.The core of the thoughts of theConfucianism,Taoism,Buddhism and so on,endow wushu with diverse culturecontent.These not only are the historic factors of the origin but also are thespring of the development of wushu.Meanwhile,the origin of wushu was alsoinfluenced by the family doctrine,school notion and so on .Wushu circulates inthe range of Patriarchal clan,religion organization and master-apprentice,whichhas brought about so many wushu-schools.We must realize such a fact that wushu taking root in Chinese culture mustcontain oriental culture's pith,and has became the basis of wushu theory,Theabove explain the origin of wushu-school from the point of view of culture.The area of our country's territory is vast,and the geography surroundingsare different obviously too.The topography,climate,and animals living in thearea affect wushu-school greatly.People ,who practice wushu create differentfistics in different geography surroundings.Wushu develops from imitating themovements of animals and birds,and then refines the skills of attack and guardfurther.Because of different animals imitated,the styles of wushu differ.Chinesepeople used to living in the stable and satisfied enviroment which block theinterchange among different districts,that is to say,there are differentwushu–schools in different regions. The above illuminate the origin ofwushu-school from the point of view of geography surroundings.
