In recent years, the rapid development of modern informationtechnology bring new challenge and opportunity to Chinese teaching ofmiddle school. On one hand, the development of modern informationtechnology changes material appearance of society greatly and it hasbrought deep influence on people's way of life and thinking. The futuriststhink unanimously, in the information-intensive society , a large numberof workforces are engaged in dealing with and producing the informationof different forms . The ability to do computer reading , writing and theability to use the network equipment is more important than thetraditional reading and writing. New-type writing ability will becomeone of the key technical abilities which people must possess ininformation age. In the face of the challenge, traditional writing teachingneeds reorientating both in nature and funcition. This means thattraditional teaching idea needs improving, the traditional teaching modeneeds improvement, the educational research approach should beupgraded in good time too. And on the other hand, the moderninformation technology taking multimedia and network as the core hasoffered the perfect material platform and ideal teaching environment fortransition of writing teaching. To problems such as low interest in writingteaching , lack of true feeling, a thousand documents and one sides. it alsooffers a new solution. Web-based composition teaching is just producedamong this era. It is the combination of information technology andChinese teaching. It is an efforts the researchers made in solving thelong-standing problems in Chinese composition teaching.This text is divided into four major parts, " introduction " serves asthe introduction to relevant backgrounds.It is mainly about the currentsituation and request of the reform in education. Then it points out thesignficance of studying network composition teaching, which lies mainlyin meeting the request for education in information age. Finally comes thedefinitions of comosition teaching and network composition teaching,stating out the object and range of this thesis.The second part Probes into the goal of network compositionteaching and the key teaching elements. A comparison between traditionalcomposition teaching and network composition teaching is made beforethe aims of network composition is stated out together with thecharacteristics of information technology. The aims are combinations ofnot only knowledge, affection andmeaning but also the new goals that theinformation-intensive society requires. Because the network has its ownparticularity , it is a tool of the reform in education, and a pusher of thereform in education, so the innovations of the teacher , student , contentof courses in the tutoring system is discussed here, too.The third part Probes into the mode of web-based compositionteaching under the requirement of both composition and network. Theteaching mode is a focal point of the educational reform experiment atpresent, the composition teaching mode is mainly reflected through theteaching structure of the composition , which involve teaching and designnaturally.This part discusses the theoretical foundation of web-basedcomposition first. Psychology of the composition and learning theorybased on constructivism.Then the teaching design of web-basedcomposition is discussed with the mode as the central point. The basicmode of network composition teaching is discussed first, which is,selecting online –conceiving online-expressing online-correcting online.Then combined with examples, the three most widely used modes and itsimplement in daily teaching is discussed. This part combines my research,aiming to reflect the basic state of web-based composition teaching atpresent in an all-round way.The fourth part is the thinking into the existing problems inweb-based composition teaching at present.It is mainly about thedeficiency of my study and the puzzlement produced in the study.In spiteof all these,the prospect of natural web-based composition teaching ispromising.
