With the constant development of educational work of ideology and politics, the beliefs of university students have become the key problem of ideological and political education. This thesis is based on China's unique national characteristics, historical cultural traditions, social systems and ideology etc., combine students'unique physiological psychological characteristics and sacred historical mission, analyze university student's present faith, lead contemporary students know themselves, social development and value of Marxism, establish the key position of faith education of Marxism.This thesis regards the forming process of faith and realistic value as the foundation of theoretical research, regards the present international and domestic environment as the era background, regards the current situation that students believe in as breakthrough point of analysis, adopt the method of drawing materials from reality, refining the question from the materials and sublimating the point from the question. Finish the research of the contemporary university student's faith problem in synthesizing , analyzing , refining , innovating.Analysing the definition of faith, forming of faith, value and duality of faith, this thesis further defines differences among faith , belief, ideal and religious belief, defines specifically faith of Marxism, scrutinizes the meaning in university student's ideological and political education of faith again. On this research foundation , further makes a concrete analysis of the current situation of contemporary university student's faith, proposes solving the basic demand that some university students faith lost , correctly knows Marxism content and spiritual essence of faith, bases on the national conditions and the target's characteristics. From the four respects of inheriting and carrying forward the outstanding legacy of Chinese culture, faith education of Marxism and humane care, developing the function of social environment and establishment of key position of faith education, proposes the countermeasure and thinking of solving the problem that some contemporary university students'faith lose, leads university students to establish the correct values.
