In our time's background of Knowledge Economy and the Basic Education Reform of China, we must change our education frame to develop students'active participating belief and creative ability. Culturing the students'ability of analyzing and solving problem of physics is one important way to achieve these education ends.Problem Solving, as one teaching form, was born out from one important report of NCTM in 1980s: An Agenda of Action. It claimed that"the mathematical curriculum should be structured by Solving Problem". However, there still are a lot of works left to how to implement Problem Solving in senior high school physics education.The present paper study what is physics problem solving, and we only study one kind of physics problem in senior high school, that is, physics theory problems. Based on the theory of Constructivism and metacognition, this paper explores the general procedure of physics Problem Solving and the obstacles of middle school students in Problem Solving. And we do investigation and face-to-face interview to students. The educational tips we can benefit from the results of our research are following: (1) when student solves one physics problem successfully, his desire of studying physics is stimulated by his successes. So the difficulty grade of our problem in entire educational process should increase step by step;(2) the more the prize instructor gives his students, the better;(3) the physics studying have little relationship with gender.
