A Study On The Problems And Countermeasures On The Studying Adaptability Of The Minority Freshman

The minority freshman is a special community in university. After entering the strange environment of the university, because of their special psychology and culture characteristics, they will demonstrate difference and conflict on culture with encountering the main culture that takes the Han nationality as subject, and then some problems on the adaptability in the course of studying will appear as well. Paying close attention to their study, not only helps the student individual's growing up healthy, the future development of minority areas, but also is favorable to the improvement of the university's educational teaching quality and the integral level.I have a study on the problems of the minority freshmen' studying adaptability taking southwest university as the individual case which is typical for its multi-national students, adopting the methods such as questionnaire investigation, depth interview etc.First, this study has carried on the system analysis relatively to the background of the minority freshman, and discussed them from five aspects, that is, national regional economy , national school education, national home environment, minority's language culture, minority students ' psychological characteristics .Secondly, this study has used statistical method to compare the new students of minority with the new students of the Han nationality in the different fields of studying and the overall states; to compare the minority students of the high grade with the minority students of the lower grade in the different studying fields; to compare the studying of the minority freshmen in different sex and department; and...
