Although it has made much progress in Chinese community education through the past over 20 years' development, many problems still exist and need to be thrashed out, whereas correlative studies on community educational management are quite weak. Therefore, the dissertation of choosing Weidong District of Pingdingshan in Henan Province as a typical case and probing into interrelated problems about Community Education, the main purpose is to provide useful references for optimizing countrywide community educational management.The dissertation can be divided into four parts except for the prologue:In the first part, it analyses the basic condition of Weidong District, especially the developmental condition and history, essential experiences and main characteristics of the community educational management.In the second part, on the base of questionnaire, it not only summarizes the managerial effects but also analyses the main current problems and pivotal reasons in the work. These are the existing problems as follows: no special managerial institution; lack of effective channels to exchange information, isolative departments, limited power of the educational administration; lack of systemic policies of community educational management; remarkable inconsistency between the supplies of resources and the needs of education; lack of necessary outlays; lack of effective and collaborative mechanism including school and community, enterprise and community; poor quantity and quality of leadership.
