Conflict between people is a fact of life and occurs at all levels of interaction at work, among friends, within families and between relationship partners. The causes of conflict can be many, including different goals of interaction, poor communication, different perceptions and personality styles, which is particular prominent among the middle school students. As adolescence is described as a period of storm and stress, researchers have attempted to study this developmental period from the aspects of physiology, emotion, cognition and social changes. The researcher of this paper has firstly identified several problems that typically arise in the adolescent conflict: with the development of the adolescent physiology and mentality, adolescences expect for the trust and respect from the peer, the family, the school and the society; however, with the inadequate cognition, mentality, experience and emotional instability, and adolescences may become sensitive and emotional, which may bring in conflict. Further, the researcher of this paper analyses these causes and proposes effective strategies helping adolescences cope with conflict and develop themselves overall in perception, personality, socio-cognition, emotion controlling in the process of conflicting.It is well noted that conflict in the adolescent social intercourse is a major contributor to the turbulence of this period. And this exploratory study investigates the originating factors, features and solution of the adolescent interpersonal conflict, with particular attention to the conflict of adolescence- parent, adolescence- teacher, as well as the conflict in peer contexts.The multi-method study, literature review, case study and action research, investigating 421 students and 180 parents and teachers, explores the causes of interpersonal conflict, the conflicting opinions and the strategies of conflict management on the conflicting parties. Moreover, seeks a better understanding of the process of interpersonal conflict and strategies for interpersonal conflict management.
