This paper establishes a series of research scenarios of different social classes and inequalities for China urban housing by applying the theories of "Collective Consumption" from Manuel Castells’new urban sociology, and "Space of Capital" from David Harvey and "Housing Classes", and it provides the three dimensional aspects of housing market price, housing size, and community types. And it further analyzes, explores, and supports the study criteria of the CGSS 2005. As the trend of the social stratification of the urban housing in China, these theoretical analysis data models shall reveal and provide significant and methodological reference for government and authority in its future strategic planning of urban housing development. |
