At present, many countries, including China, are carrying out educational reform. In some state reports, such as Outline on Chinese Educational Reform and Development in 1993 and State Council's Decision on Fundamental Educational Reform and Development in 2001, it is advanced clearly that to carry out quality -focus education and to foster students' abilities to create and practice, are necessary, in educational circles, especially in preliminary education.During the reform process of middle school politics teaching, how to turn the. old pattern of middle school education into popular subject with students, to improve students' personalities? That is the very focus of this essay.Firstly, the implement of this Subject educational thought is the request of age, is the demand of students' self-development, and also is the demand of educational reform in middle school politics teaching.Secondly, the Subject education is that "teachers create harmonious relaxed and democratic educational surroundings, and plannedly organize or regulate various educational activities, in order to train students as active, mobile and creative social participants, according to the demand of social development and educational modernization."(1) It has several characteristics: open, democratic,scientific and enlightening. This thought, in democratic atmosphere, lets students study actively, experience happily and behave spontaneously, so as to change the moral regulations and beliefs into individual student's personality and to train students as qualified socialistic participants, by means of teaching and eliciting the common sense of Marxism, Deng Theory and citizen morality. This thought can be carried out during the whole teaching process by the means tallying with educational laws and students' characteristics.Thirdly, the implement of this thought needs a series measures as guarantee, such as school management, teachers' major accomplishment and experience, the improvement of classroom teaching and evaluation, the establishment of school culture, and the good qualities of students themselves. Only when the educational surroundings are established in all aspects of school system, this educational thought can be improved genuinely.To sum up, to carry out the Subject educational thought in middle school politics teaching, can benefit students' morality development and their personality improvement. Meanwhile it can provoke their synthetical abilities. All these are the aims pursued by our new educational policy.
