The paper , on the basis of k studying the current situation of teachers'teaching skills , designs a questionnaire concerning two aspects of contents , eg the knowledge and skills , as well as application and innovation according to the concerning rules provided by"The standards for teacher's teaching skills of elementary and middle schools (on trial)". By means of questionnaire survey, interview and observation on field, the author finds out the present teachers'teaching skills of an ordinary middle school situated in the linking area of the city huhhot and its suburbs, analyzes it's existing main problems and discusses it's development in the future. The paper aims to provide basis for carrying out the training work of teaching skills, and provide references for those schools with the similar level on economic and education development.The paper includes five parts: The first part summarizes the present teaching skills of teaches in and out of China, and states the school-based research principle or which my paper is based. The second part expounds the importance of posing the problem and researching on the problem. The third part strictly defines the concerning ideas of the research work and explains the research methods. The fourth part shows the findings from three aspects, the present teachers'teaching skills, the need for training teaching skills and factors of influencing, the development of teaching skills'application. The final part analyzes the subjects'main problems. discusses the tactics of developing teaching skills , and provides some basis and advice for training and improving teachers'skills in middle schools .
