As mathematics competetions are flourishing worldwide,the Olympic Mathematics gradually bemcomes a marginal subject which greatly affects and promotes high school mathematics instruction. Furthermore,all kinds of Olympic mathematics training centers emerge widely. Therefore,the instructional design of Olympic Mathematics is of great significance in practice to achieve effective Olympic Mathematic teaching and realize the educational function of Olympic Mathematics with regard to cultivate students'mathematic way of thinking.Based on empirical research method,this paper explores the gist of Olympic mathematic teaching design,its implementation and evaluation by means of questionnaires, interviews with teachers, classroom observation and literature review. Based on the understanding and analysis of the Olympiad Mathematics's characteristics and instruction value,the author explores the general theories and pattern of instrutional design, which include theoretical foundation of instructional design, its characteristics ,principles, instructional contents, patterns and assessment. Grounding on theoretical study and teaching practices, this study concentrate on some key aspects such as the analysis of students'backgrounds,the establishment of instruction target,the selection of materials and its design. Moreover, this study demonstrates the practicability of the Olympic Mathmatics instruction by providing an integrated teaching case.At last, base on the evaluation of the teaching case, this study proposes some suggestion to optimize the instruction design, in hope of offering some implication for the teaching of Olympic Mathmatics training class.
