In recent years, the government and various sections of society have been payingmuch attention to Olympic Mathematics education. And the debate about the OlympicMathematics education occurs repeatedly. The ministry of education and localeducation authorities have issued many policies to curb over-heated the phenomenonof Olympic Mathematics education, but the effect is not ideal, which needs us to makea good orientation of the present Olympic Mathematics education and assess its rolein the whole basic education. which further provides the support for the governmentto make up the relevant policies and for the public to treat the Olympic Mathematicseducation rationally. So far, however, there is still short of the basic quantitativeresearch on Olympic Mathematics education.Taking Lanzhou City, Gansu Province,D middle schools (5) students and Fsecondary two (5) students in the class as a sample. Surveying the basic informationof objects and the learning styles of the Olympic Mathematics, learning content,purpose and effect, teaching status,investiment and the influenced on basic educationby Olympic Mathematics by questionnaire.It comes to conclusion that the ratio which girls and boye learnning OlympicMathematics is not far-off. the education degree of parents have influence on thechoice which kids learnning Olympic Mathematics or not Firstly, Students learningOlympic Mathematics starting from the fourth grade,student’s learning time isconcentrated in4-6Grade, participate in outside running institutions opened ofOlympic mathematics remedial classes is students learning Olympic mathematics ofmain channel, students of Olympic Mathematics learning lack initiative, General isdue to parents and the mathematics teacher of requirements only select learningOlympic mathematics,The main purpose of learning Olympic Mathematics is tochoose schools.listen to the teacher of explained, do large type of exercises is studentslearning Olympic Mathematics’s main way, learning Olympic Mathematics hasincreased students physiological and psychological burden, make the rest time ofstudents is more less. Balanced educational resources, change the concepts of educational, change theOlympic Mathematics teaching methods, rational view of Olympic Mathematics is aprerequisite for the healthy development of the Olympic Mathematics.
