Nowadays, scientific literacy is the center topic for discussion of international science education. Many teaching staffs found that : Scientific history (include chemical history) education is in favor of enhancing scientific literacy of student. However, basing on literature analysis found that previous researches were major about property and principle lay. What influence should the chemical history education cause to students and teachers? Are there existent problems when putting it in practice? Is the chemical history in chemical textbook sufficiency? This research discusses these questions that the previous efforts were not insufficiency. At the same time, correlative advices were brought out from the results of this research.This research included the following three parts:The first part discussed the important meaning and existent problems of chemical history education through interviewing three chemical teachers and two students of middle school.The second part analyzed the present instance of chemical textbooks (include compulsory course and elective course) of middle school in new curriculum standard using qualitative and quantitative angles, so it can provide reference for joining chemical history to chemical textbook.The results of this research indicated that chemical history education has active functions to raise the learning interest of student , build up correct philosophy and enhance innovation ability and the scientific quality of student. It also can promote teacher to improve his diathesis but giving teacher much burden. Nevertheless, considering the present system of education, people do not pay sufficient regards to chemical history education, so student can not realize the process of chemical history development. The operator of chemical education should adopt corresponding steps to promote chemical history education harmonious development.Although the present content of chemical history becomes more and more comparing with the previous textbook, it also have problem that student can not...
