The Integrative Practical Activities Curriculum is the highlight in china's elementary education reform. It is also the most integrative and the most open curriculum. Its resources come from very wide and complex areas. So its development and implementation is very difficult in the elementary education reform. There are four reasons that this thesis focuses on teacher behaviors: (1) Curriculum implementation depends on teachers and their behaviors; (2) Students' learning styles are affected by their teacher's teaching styles; (3) It is hard for teachers to change their concepts and behaviors; (4) In schools, some teachers don't know what to do with the Integrative Practical Activities Curriculum.There are three parts in the thesis:Firstly, the author analyzes the nature and the values of the Integrative Practical Activities Curriculum. With the new concepts, teacher roles have changed in the classroom. They are not information-providers, but the constructivists of the curriculum, the guide and promoter of students' learning, and they are also the co-operators with their colleagues and researchers in teaching. That means teacher behaviors should change with the new roles. What's more, teacher behaviors are affected by their educational concepts. Human beings usually behave by their concepts. But only well-understood concepts can have a strong influence on their behaviors.Secondly, through.a survey and classroom observation in some curriculum reform experiment areas in Shaanxi Province, inappropriate teacher behaviors are found in the development and implementation of the Integrative Practical Activities Curriculum. Those misbehaviors show us that some teachers still behave by their old educational concepts, and they still do what they used to do in the classroom. In the development of "learning-by-doing" activities, great efforts were made to improve inappropriate teacher behaviors.
