As an important question of new curriculum reform of basic education, curriculum integration has been paid more and more attention. As a result, it is very important for us to understand deeply its essence and its distinguishing features, to clear its basic viewpoints, to sum up its basic strategies and to study theoretically its problems. This thesis applies some measures such as comparison, documentation to conduct a systematic and deep research on curriculum integration during the new curriculum development.This dissertation consists of five parts.Part one,"introduction", points out the reason ,significance and research methods of this research.Part two is the essence and characteristics of curriculum integration during the new curriculum development. This part elaborates the definition of curriculum integration, the essence and characteristics of curriculum integration during new curriculum development.Part three analyses its basic viewpoints and its main strategies. Its basic viewpoints consists of training a whole child, building a systemic curriculum structure and concerning on the students' interests and their experience. Its main strategies includes the strategy of coherence, the strategy of structure, the strategy of integrating different disciplines, the strategy of integrating disciplines and the learners, and the strategy of integrating discipline and society and so on.
