A Discussion On Moral Adjustment In Community Governance

As a form of community, urban uptowns are different from the ones as units or acquaintances. It is often confronted with several moral dilemmas of governance, because modern community excludes ways and means of moral regulation. As a result of stagnancy of theory research and deficiency of practice, such dilemmas have not been resolved efficiently.When I made a detailed investigation into Dejia Community, I discovered it has gotten some remarkable governing accomplishments, because the community successfully unified network methods and the judgment of traditional morals. The moral practice in Dejia Community may show governance effectiveness of moral means of regulation in modern residents' community. Therefore, with a view to the practical demand of community governance and the efficiency of theory research on this field, this paper, which takes Dejia Community as a research case from the moral angle of view, tries to find out a prescription to solve these moral dilemmas by using means of moral regulations. Since it is necessary to research community governance from the moral angle of view, we'd better answer the question of "why is it necessary". At chapter one, titled as "why was moral means of regulation introduced into Dejia Community", I point out that it is the correspondence between moral means of regulation and community functions that makes it possible to introduce moral means of regulation into Dejia Community; and it be a real urgency to solve common and distinct dilemmas of community governance; and last but not least, the distinct and good conditions of Dejia Community is the jumping-off point of exerting the moral means of regulation. Thus, I not only clearly illuminated the question of "why it is necessary", but also explained the conditions of exerting the moral means of regulation. With that, the paper will answer the question of "how to bring it into effect ". Since has successfully advanced the project of "constructing the system of moral standards, developing moral education, and cultivating moral culture", I believe that Dejia Community plays a role as an effective carrier of community governance through its governance frame of moral regulation over itself. Furthermore, the paper answers the question of "what are the accomplishments of its practice of the governance through moral means" in detail. I think this kind of governance not only harmonizes the relationship between individuals and organizations, and entironment, but also solves the common moral dilemmas of modern community governance.
