Terrorism Crisis Management Of Beijing Olympic Games And Shanghai Expo

In 2008 the Olympic game will be held in Beijing and in 2010, the Expo will be held in Shanghai. For the first time china will hold these two important events. At that time the world will focus on China. But terrorism has become the most serious problem of the international society, it may attack China we the two events holds. Counter-terrorism should be the most important thing in the Olympic and Expo's security work. At the basis of crisis management theory, analysis of China's terrorism threatens and combining with China's Anti-terrorism situation, the paper has put forward a series of strategies of crisis management in terrorism which is helpful in some way to the security management of Olympic games and Expo.There are five chapters in this paper.chapter I is the outlining part. It introduces the relevant concepts and crisis management theory.Chapter II is about terrorism crisis anticipation in the pre-crisis session. It analyzes the characteristic of the sources of terrorism threat which Olympic Games and Expo is facing to. It analyzes the means which the terrorism is using and relevant intelligence gathering.Chapter III is about terrorism crisis response in the crisis session. It introduces how to establish the counter-terrorism response mechanism and how to organize the terrorism response plan.Chapter IV is about terrorism crisis recovery in the post-crisis session. It consists of domestic recovery and reconstruction and international image recovery.Chapter V is about routine management terrorism crisis. It consists of counter-terrorism legislations, counter-terrorism training, and media management.
