In light of the National General University PE Instruction Guideline presented by National Education Ministry, this thesis paper adopts the means of literature-accumulating, poll-investigating, mathematics-counting as well as experiment-contrasting and pursue an experimental study on the keep-fitness reform of skating teaching so as to enhance the teaching efficiency and better the result. New teaching model has been put forward in hope of changing the skill-centered teaching sense and setting the "health first" sense as the direction. The new system requires the transformation of traditional sense changes the sports skill-centered system and aims to enhance students' physical comprehensive competence as well as scientific physical training capability and attempts to foster the awareness of lifelong physical training by means of skillful sports programs. The new teaching system stresses that the students should be the center while teachers play a dominant role in the course of teaching and it thinks highly of the open-ended, exploratory teaching model. The students are assigned even more training moments and encouraged to enhance their enthusiasm as well as to bring their initiative into full play. The new system also lays stress on the internal variations of organic functions caused by the load of motion as well as on the shift from traditional teaching system of motion skills to the content teaching system of keep-fitness.Two phases are made the progress of experimental research of skating: teaching in pre-preparation stage and in skating teaching stage.In preparation phase, roller-skating, combined with quality exercise of physical strength on legs, is adopted in place of land imitation activities in speed skating in sense of being even more healthful and entertaining. The experiment shows that if we substitute the traditional pre-skating phase for pre-preparation and traditional pre-skating land imitation exercise for roller-skating, the static passive training of the legs can be changed into the active training of the whole body.
