Study On Spatial Dynamic Character Of Population In Jiangxi Province

As an important factor of sustainable development, population problem is an important item of the research work. In recent years, more and more studies on population problems appeared. Study on spatial distribution of population has been an important facet of population study.According to the data of Jiangxi Province from the forth population census and the fifth population census ,the sampling survey in 1995, the statistical yearbook in 1991 and 2001, the article studies the spatial-temporal characteristic of population condition during about twenty years in Jiangxi province by SPSS and other data models. The paper stresses on the study of the factors which influence the spatial-temporal characteristic of population, and forecasts the trend of population spatial characteristic.The first part is preface. In this part, the theory and technology based on are introduced on the view of population geography. The works on population movement from domestic and oversea studies.Morover, the significance is revealed for sustainable development of Jiangxi province.The second part is the introduction of the research indexes, data models and theory basis. In this part, many research indexes, data models and theory basis in regular use are displayed, including the methods of application and the notice when you adapt them. The thought of research in the paper is given according to actuality of Jiangxi population and the status of data collected. At last, the push and pull theory is introduced in this part.The third part is the research on the characteristic of population spatial distribution and population movement. In this part, the author analyses the transformation of population spatial distribution based on move-in amount, move-in resource, move-in flow, move-in reason and movement spatial characteristic. The scale of population flow is becoming larger .The general resource of population flow is the flow from the countryside. The dominated factor advancing population movement is economic. We analyze characteristic of the population distribution of two periods, from 1985 to 1990 and from 1995 to 2000.The fourth part is the study on the factors influencing population distribution and the trend of population spatial distribution. In this part, we adapt population concentrating distribution index, population redistribution index, Lorenz curve to analyze the degree of population concentration and the trend of population redistribution. On the base of push and pull theory, the author draw that economic is the major factor which advances the population movement. The state of social economic development has the positive correlation with the scale of population movement. At last, we make sure some activity area of population movement.The fifth part is the advice on how to advance the spatial distribution of population. Enhancing economic, strengthening education, intensifying population movement and reinforcing family planning are major measures should been taken to improve the population distribution in Jiangxi Province.The last part is conclusion. In this part, the paper summarizes results and revelation of research.
