As a valuable resource, land is an important carrier of human social and economic activities.Land resources also provide an important guarantee for the reproduction and development of mankind.Reasonably handling the relationship between man and land is the inevitable way to maintain the harmonious and sustainable development of human society.Jiangxi Province,as an important agricultural province and migrant workers, mainly flows out of the provinces. In the process of urbanization,it accurately analyzes the relationship between population growth in urban areas and rural areas and urban construction land expansion, which is related to the science and long-term development of Jiangxi. This paper uses long-term multi-scale data, using decoupling theory and multiple linear regression methods to analyze the current status and relationship between urban population and construction land at the provincial level and city and county level,as well as population and construction land in rural areas. An in-depth study was conducted and the following conclusions were drawn from the analysis:(1)On the time scale, the population and construction land in urban areas of Jiangxi Province are in an increasing trend from 2005 to 2015,especially after 2012,the growth rate of urban construction land exceeds the growth rate of urban population, and the population and construction of urban areas The decoupling relationship between the land and the expansion decoupling type is changed to weak decoupling, and the relationship between man and land in urban areas is gradually changed from coordinated to uncoordinated. At the same time, during the research period of this paper, the population of rural areas has decreased while the area of construction land has increased, making the decoupling relationship between people and land in rural areas of Jiangxi Province a strong negative decoupling relationship. The decoupling relationship between human and land has been in an unreasonable state for a long time.(2)From the research scale,at the prefecture-level city scale, there are 3 cities in the urban area that are in a reasonable state, accounting for 27.27%;while the decoupling types in rural areas are strong negative decoupling,The decoupling types in rural areas at the provincial level are consistent. At the county level, there are 45 cities with a decoupling relationship between urban population and construction land, accounting for 50% of the total number of research units, which is consistent with the number of uncoordinated cities; There are 81 coordinated research units, accounting for 90% of all research units.(3)From the perspective of spatial distribution,in the county-level urban areas, the cities with negative decoupling types are mainly distributed in the central part of Jiangxi Province and the Poyang Lake Economic Zone;while the weak decoupling type is mainly distributed in the western and southern parts of Jiangxi Province. In rural areas, the types of decoupling are mainly strong decoupling and weak decoupling. The strong decoupling areas are distributed in the north-south direction along the Beijing-Kowloon railway line in space;the weak decoupling areas are distributed in a spatial distribution. It consists mainly of three groups, including the western group of Jiangxi Province;the northeastern group of Jiangxi Province;and the southern group of Jiangxi Province. In view of the current status and existing problems of the relationship between population and construction land in Jiangxi Province, this paper proposes corresponding policy recommendations based on specific situations,including:(1)strict control of land supply and elimination of land waste;(2)implementation of official assessment system and transformation of economic development mo de;(3)Strengthen the planning and restraining role, standardize land use;(4)Strengthen rural land remediation and rural housing system reform.
