It is obvious that every student at secondary school has the wish to achieve the success in studying mathematics. Mathematics studying is not only very significant impact for them to be admitted to senior middle school or college, but also very related for them to choose subjects and jobs.Mathematics studying is so important, however, there are a lot of students at secondary sechool to escape mathematics study. Even many of them give up studying mathematics. What is the reason that these students do so? The discovery of psychology tells us: students may not take any actions after they master corresponding knowledge and skills, and know they will achieve something if they try to do so as well. Students actions are controlled by their self—efficacy. Every student wish that he could get excellent marks, but he would refuse to do anything because he doesn't believe he is able to succeed. So, when students know how to finish task, self—efficacy become a decisive actor to take actions or not.For this reason, we can easily draw a conclusion: many of students fear mathematics and give up studying mathematics because their self—efficacy are much lower or they have no mathematics self—efficacy. As a mathematics educator, it is very necessary for him to note and study the mathematics self—efficacy of middle school students.In this paper, we explained the implication of the mathematics self—efficacy of middle school students and discuss its properties, function, structure, measure, original and it is how to influence mathematics study.
