Content: By employing the theory of industrial economics and higher pedagogy, this paper is aiming to make a full analysis of the industry products as well as their characters, marketing and income etc. of higher education, and thus comes up the result that higher education is a special industrial field. In terms of higher education's economic characters, the analysis concentrates more on the factors of social economic development and citizens' needs that influence demand; meanwhile, effective demand is predicted from the following five factors: population scale, educational system, citizens' income, expectation on the next generation and educational income rate, and consumer choice. What's more, this paper analyses the supply of current resources in higher education, the relation between growth of national economics and higher education, the influences on supply from educational management system and makes a prediction on the supply. By comparing the supply and demand predictions, the writer believes that though still existing in a certain period, contradictions between supply and demand are gradually alleviated, and structural problems begin to erupt. Also, consumer choice and marketing competition of higher education increase. On basis of the analysis, some strategies are proposed as follows: to view education as industry at first; to increase the governmental investment on higher education, improve the structure of educational burden and construct scientific systems; to reform the management system of education and lower market-entry requirements and thus form multiple investing channels; to compose competition mechanism to make full use of market for allocating resources; to strengthen autonomy of running a school and adjust to market development.
