This paper investigates the teaching of writing in Task-based Language Teaching in the material of Fun with English by covering the theoretical basis and the practical study. It discusses the Task-based Language Teaching, the teaching of writing skills in Task-based Language Teaching and the necessity of writing teaching in the secondary school. Besides these, it talks about the characteristics of the material of Fun with English, the task-based language teaching of writing in ordinary English class, including teaching preparation, teaching procedures and teaching assessment. At last we draw the conclusion by the practical study. According to the investigation, we find that the task-based language teaching of writing makes the teaching of writing realized in the secondary school and it makes the teaching of writing successful as well. We also find that the students' writing ability improves quickly in the task-based language teaching of writing. They can learn how to write and they can enjoy the happiness in writing. At the same time the students have better ability in using English and they have made great progress in learning English.
