The newly-published English Curriculum Standard stresses that the TaskbasedLanguage Teaching should be used in classroom teaching, instead of onlyteaching the fixed knowledge from textbooks. It demands that students be thecenter of class and they learn and use English by means of expericing,practicing, participating, communicating and cooperating, achieving theirgoals and success. In the process of fulfiling the tasks,they think ,analyse,discuss,investigate and communicate in order to cultivate their charactersand feelings .Meanwhile,they can gain confidence and creativity.Writing palysan important role in English teaching,which is part of language training andteaching,as well as the important item of language assessment.Not only can itstrengthen the knowledge students have learned,but also can develop theirlanguage skill and ability.In the traditional writing teaching,there's lackof negotiation about the writing aims and contents between teachers andstudents,thus teachers impose the writing topics upon the students,whichweaken the students'interest and desire to express .The result is thatstudents can't use the language creatively and solve t he problemsfreely.Teachers are thinking how to arouse students'inner demands and createexcellent situation for writing.The research has applied the concept of Taskbasedlanguage Teaching to the English writing teaching and come up with thegeneral thinking of designing as well as detailed measures of Task-basedLanguage Teaching by analyzing the definition,application of the theory ofTask-based Language Teaching.
