Expecting ken is an essential part in literature reading ,which can not be ignored and skipped over. No general attention has been paid to expectant ken in Chinese literature reading teaching in the middle school., especially the research and application of expecting frustration is a blind area in teaching because of the academic and realistic reasons. Expecting frustration, which is caused by readers' specific expecting ken, will make readers " uncomfortable " and has a negative impact on reading.. Besides, it has special aesthetic value and educational significance, which can increase the merit of appreciation and can explore reader's Zone of proximal development The expecting frustration is led into literature reading in the middle school mainly based on its significance and function. Firstly, the author gives an definition of the expecting frustration and finds the corresponding agreement between expecting frustration and literature reading teaching. Secondly, the author discusses the representation and function of four types expecting ken, including, complete frustration , temporary frustration, expressed frustration and unexpressed frustration.. At last, the author summarizes the target and end-result of the application expecting frustration theory, so as to provide some references for realistic literature reading teaching.
