Ever since the concept Metacognition has been given by Flavell, more researches have been done and the theory itself has become much more mature with great theoretical productions booming in the related field. Based on its important action, there is no doubt that metacognition plays an important role in improving the student's synthetic diathesis such as thinking and intelligence. Therefore, metacognition should be taken as one of the most instant task in teaching.By mastering the theory and studying the Chinese teaching situations here, the theoretical approach has been tried and then the thesis A Research on Metacognition Training in Chinese Teaching in Reading has got a good opportunity to be presented.Upon testing the level of student's metacognition monitor, the aim of this research is to train the ability of student's self-monitoring through Chinese teaching, especially on reading.By infiltrating the training of Chinese teaching in one semester, we found Student's ability of self-monitor in the test class become obviously high than that of the contrast class. Especially, student's self - monitor ability on six aspects has been improved much more than before, and their scores of Chinese have been obviously improved too.Analyzing the effect of this test tell us that the metacognition training is an efficient way in senior student's Chinese teaching.
