China's teaching material has developed from 'one programme and one textbook' to 'one programme and different textbooks' , each of which has its own advantages, experiencing mixed exploration and scientific order. It is a leap in sense that the teaching material is revised rather than formulated .Nowadays there are more than ten kinds of the revised material on junior Chinese which are from People Education Press ,Jiangsu Education Press, Beijing Normal University Press ,Chinese Press ,Shanghai Education Press ,Hunan Education Press ,Hubei Education Press ,etc . So the variety makes the Chinese teaching much more lively, but the problem has arisen how to pick the best one for Gansu.Three editions—People Education Press ,Beijing Normal University Press, Jiangsu Education Press are discussed in the article, analysing their characteristics of their own .The research has shown:The edition from People Education Press:A model is a unit, selected literary compositions are not only rigorous but also lively. Launch oral and written communication, depending on the texts. A synthetical study, which is under the command of a theme activity and associate with reading units, is an item which coexists with knowing characters, writing words, reading and writing and oral communication. Practice is creative and lays stress on the form of the students' character because in every lesson there are activities or practices full of humanism education in order to instruct students to have the whole sense of Chinese.. Stress basic knowledge, emphasize how to use words, so 'Read and Write' follows each text, which contains all the new words in order to make students not only read but also write. Little knowledge, material, opinions, anecdotes etc are designed behind most of the texts in order to help students broaden horizon ,add study interest and widen knowledge.The edition from Beijing University Press:One theme is a unit, stressing comparison. Selected literary compositions have obvious and serious comparison and distinct themes. The obvious specific character and outstanding general character form the network of diversity and unity. Propose deliberation and exploration and weaken exercises after class. Questions are interesting but something of challenge, and based on the texts but something of opening. The talk of Chinese interests is designed at the end of each unit, which contains the knowledge about linguistics, such as words ,grammar ,usage,rhetoric , classical Chinese ,and the knowledge about application theory ,such as appreciation, creation ,forms of literature .The column is well worth reading because is short but lively and more interesting .The edition from Jiangsu Education Press:A column is designed as a unit. Selected literary compositions are new and original ,rich in contents ,and extensive in range ,most of which are short, current and attractive. Stress the fusion of humanism ,fully showing the fusion of tradition advanced culture and human improvement culture and emphasizing the unity between humanism and scientific spirit. Writing ,oral communication and synthetical study lay stress on circum stances ,weakening theory .oral communication goes with synthetical and practical activity. Each unit has writing practice with a variety of circumstances on real life ,language and imagination in order to write about real feelings and communicate naturally. Exercises are helpful to improve the ability ,based on the memory ,understanding and analysis of the texts. Chant appreciation' ,designed at the end of each unit ,puts amusement in teaching.With the analysis and comparison of the three editions ,the write associated with the reality of Gansu education and chose with Lanfei high school as the case ,receiving the information about the opinion on the three editions from the students and teachers in the form of investigation papers. Based on it ,my proposal is that Gansu should choose the edition from Jiangsu Education Press . I also state my own opinions on the standard of selecting teaching material: selecting literary compositions according to theme ,not stressing literary form ,strengthening the practical usage ,absorbing the Chinese resource from the real life, extending Chinese study and practice to extracurricular ,family and society , improving the effect of visual sense by using colorful paper which is suitable for the junior students' aesthetic standards of appreciating a diversity of color.The contents of the three editions for junior Chinese (six volumes) are attached behind in order to compare them conveniently.
