On The Characteristics Of College Students's On Line Communication

Along with the rapid development of computer network and the communicative technology, the Internet is extending to every level and every field of society at a very fast speed. While the college students have become the main people on-line, the characteristics of their behavior have received people's attention. This research carries on the investigation to 308 college students by the use of the questionnaire survey method. The questionnaires include the questionnaires of the usage of the network of college students, the revised Cartel Sixteen Personality Factor Questionnaire, the Interpersonal Trust Scale and so on. This research tries to know the basic condition of the use of the network of college students in order to explore the characteristics of college students' behavior, the characteristics of college students' personality, the present situation and characteristics of interpersonal trust, and the relationship between the characteristics of personality and interpersonal trust. The results show that: 1) Most of the Internet users come from the rural, and their parents receive low education mainly middle school or high school education.2) There are differences in the Characteristics of the use of the network in the college students including the differences in the function of using network, the motivation of using network and the network interpersonal interaction. 3) There are gender differences in the function of using network, the motivation of using network and the network interpersonal...
