The extracurricular reading is one of the important contents of Chinese curriculum, It is an important way to conduct Chinese practice . The extracurricular reading can outstand the central position of the students, and give full play to one's own activity;It can promote the students to carry on deep mental experience in individual and creative reading.To develop effective the extracurricular reading is significant to extend the field of Chinese study,to broadening the practice of Chinese learning , and to completely achieve the aims of the Chinese curriculum.On the basis of collecting and analyzing various documents data lastly, The thesis focus on research into the present situation of pupils' extracurricular reading, combining with the questionnaires, What's more, the texts also take extracurricular reading into consideration of the new Chinese curricular visual field. During my writing, I pay attention to the absorbtion of the new concepts of the latest modern reading teaching, and analyzed the advantages of the extracurricular reading to the Chinese education, its essence in Chinese curriculum construction and the pupils' self-requirements. Based On the demonstration, link with the summarizing of the results of questionnaire investigates and the analyzing of the practical examples of teaching , we reviewed the present condition of extracurricular reading and gave some practice suggestion to the extracurricular reading in primary students.From the investigation above, we can get such a conclusion, that is Students, teachers, parents hold a positive attitude towards extracurricular reading, The students have good reading motives, The development of extracurricular reading has total tendency of being mdependent and abundant. But, according to the investigation, we also discovers that the pupils need the grown-ups' guidence and help in reading interests, methods and reading matters etc. Turther more, good reading habits need training.Consequently,the research on the guiding strategy of extracurricular reading becomes the keystone of this thesis. During the discussions, the texts outstandingly discuss how to use extracurricular reading activities to arouse the pupils'reading positivity.At the same time, the texts also explain my standpoint to solve pupils' matters, time...
