A Survey Of Vocational Education Teachers' On-the-job Training In Shangqiu Finance & Economics School

Vocational teacher's training is very important and difficult problem in inland provinces of China. The author carries a survey into Shangqiu Finance & Economics School as a case. By a questionnaire and several interviews with the vocational teachers, some problems and advices are achieved.Shangqiu Finance and economics School came from several academic schools. It has too many academic teachers and administrators, and has too few Vocational teachers. As for Vocational teachers, they had too low qualification as first education. Most of them are teaching a subject that has no direct relation with the subject they had studied in university. They have some difficulties in their work, especially have no work experience in companies. The lack of money and time make the Vocational teacher can hardly participate in continuous training.The author's advice is: to hire all kinds of worker that have rich work experience; to encourage other stuff go working in companies or get professional training to become vocational teachers; to prompt vocational teachers' work achievement and skills by personnel reform; to implement school-based training and research.
