Graduate student tutor's guiding amount in the research refers to the number of graduate students under each instructional tutor. The relevance analysis between the quality of graduate student education and the tutor's guiding amount from the view of master's degree paper quality and the result from the other research indicate that more guiding amount has certain negative influence on quality of graduate student education. Through the macroscopical investigation of tutor's guiding amount at present and investigation in one key university, we find that tutor's aeverage guiding amount goes up fast on the whole and tutor's guiding amount presents the trend on the high side. The primary reasons include that fast development of graduate education, the enrollment amount expands of the graduate student in the university, interests urging to some tutors and insufficient of tutors. The excessive guiding amount brings all sorts of influence to tutors, graduate students and universities. It makes the tutors have the job burnout, disturbs tutor's academy development and abates the tutor's sense of responsibility. It also obstructs graduate student's business development, infracts the graduate students's rights and interests and makes the students feel obsession in the mind. At the same time,it influences the higher education institutions'high-level and further development. In order to change the current situation of tutor's guiding amount,promote its rationality, dispel the harmful effects, guarantee the quality of graduate student's education,firstly,we should realize the mistaken ideas and improve the understanding of tutor's guiding amount rationality of society, universities, tutors and graduate students. Secondly, departments in charge of education and universities should confirm the graduate student's education scale rationally. Thirdly, try to seek the ways to improve the rationality of tutor's guiding amount. Fourthly, expand tutor's team, to solve absolutely and relatively insufficient of tutors; Fifthly, strengthen the supervision of education quality of graduate student's. Finally, strengthen the responsibility consciousness of universities and tutors.
