The thesis choose a representative station resettlement as a focal point, integrated with literature and case study methods, the extensive interview, group-discussion and participating observation methods in field, all kinds of data about resettlement. Via clarifying and categorizing some significant phases of the actual resettlement implementation, the thesis shows out the actuality of public participation in the resettlement process to the readers. This thesis elaborates the importance of obtaining information in fore period of resettlement activity. In the stage of the house's dismantling and resettlement, in the way of the rational participation, the immigrants got the resettlement place near the train station successfully which has Lots of potential for development. In the stage of re- adjust of compensation money and land, this thesis analyzes the different function of participation between elites and villagers. Their participation not only prevented the polarization of villagers caused by compensation, but also guaranteed the life of the villagers. In the process of "agricultural to non-agricultural" status resettlement and compensation, non-systemize way of participation can bring huge economic benefits to the villagers. The study discards the view of from top to bottom, not only taking it into consideration that what should be done to public participation during the resettlement, but paying much attention to the actuality implementation and how to participate, to interpret to what degree the public participation does help for themselves to get deserved profit. In the end, this thesis gives some advices on how to raise the efficiency of the public participation and how to regulate the way of the participation.
