The Model Of Humanitarian Nursing In Hospice Care

Hospice care is a special health care service which can provide the all-around support and nursing in the respects of physiology, psychology, society, and the mind. And now it is a rising social public career. In china, Hospice care is being paid attention to and booming with the problems such as aging of the population structure, changing of the family structure, and shifting of spectrum of morbidity and mortality. However, hospice care has not developed successfully as people expected in the past 20 years because its development is influenced by plenty of factors. And in fact the service quality and development of hospice care institute fall largely behind of western country's scale.The research discusses the history, the present situation and the existing problems of hospice care by the means of document analysis and interview, and on the basis of pre-works, it proposes model of humanitarian nursing, which can suit for the current nursing situation of our country better. It also discusses the concept of humanitarian nursing and its application in clinical practice. The research' key point is the construction of the model of humanitarian nursing. Firstly. The paper discusses the theory basement of humanitarian nursing, and analyzes and determines the concept of humanitarian nursing. And then it give some operational defines of the concepts in this model and analyzes the relationship between the concepts; In the end, it brings up some concrete programs and measures on humanitarian nursing in hospice care.To establish a new model and test its validity, the researcher investigated 62 hospice patients through questionnaire survey. The research uses convenient sampling, and divides research team and contrast team through random number table, and either team has 31 members. 3 measure tools-the general material investigate form, the questionnaire of life quality and the FACT-G-are chosen to be used. Method: Asked for the patient's agreement before investigation, and chose research object in the new hospice patients by a standard, then divided them into research team and contrast team through random number table. The contrast team live in the common unit and accept nursing by nursing routines of tumor patients, the research team live in the hospice unit and accept humanitarian nursing. Every patient accepted a survey when it began to accept nursing and after 2 weeks. All the materials have been analyzed by SPSS13.0 software; The method includes Independent-Samples T-test and Paired-Samples T-test. Result: (1)There are no obvious difference between the research team and contrast team before research in their life quality.(2)There are obvious difference between the research team and contrast team after research in their life quality. (3) The difference in life quality between the patients before and after research is obvious. The result showed that the humanitarian nursing model have important value on the life quality of hospice patient, the humanitarian nursing model can greatly increase the life quality of hospice.
