Research On Hospice Care Service Supply Mechanism In Nursing Home

Hospice care is the inevitable result of the development of social economy and medical and health care to a certain level,as well as a significant symbol of social civilization progress.As the deepening of China’s aging degree,the desire of people for improving the quality of late life is increasingly strong.Therefore,hospice care service is gradually transferred from the hospice ward of large comprehensive medical institutions to the nursing home,which puts forward higher service requirements for the elderly care institution.Based on the theory of good death,this study uses qualitative research methods to collect and analyze relevant research data through semi-structured interview method and participatory observation method.Taking S nursing home as an example,this study studies the practice of hospice care service supply in nursing home.The study found that the large occupancy scale and the long occupancy experience of the elderly at the end of life make S nursing home have a huge hospice care demand.Therefore,S nursing home obtains service projects through public welfare venture capital and forms a hospice care service team to provide multi-level hospice care services to the dying elderly in the institution through the form of project-based service.The services include hospice care services,medical services,social work services and psychological support services.The multi-dimensional services not only meet the diversified service needs of the elderly at the end of life,but also promote the development of hospice care services in nursing home.However,due to the service form and the low professional level of service,the hospice service in nursing home is faced with the problems of insufficient service supply ability and weak sustainability of hospice service.Therefore,in order to meet the huge demand for hospice care in nursing home and promote the sustainable development of hospice care services in nursing home,it is necessary to constantly improve the management system of hospice service projects and give play to the positive role of hospice service projects.Secondly,it is necessary to continuously improve the professional degree of hospice care service supply in nursing home and the service ability and level of service personnel,so as to provide services to meet the needs of the elderly and their families in institutions.Finally,the policy support of hospice service should be continuously strengthened,and unified and clear industry norms and standards of hospice service supply should be established,so as to make hospice service become one of the important services of institutions and form a normal development mechanism and model.
