The educational system in our country has undergone considerable changes in recent years. To push the quality-oriented education forward thus optimize the teaching effects, many physical education teachers, under the guide of modern teaching theories, are introducing many advanced teaching thoughts and concepts at home and abroad and beginning to do some creative and experimental researches in tennis teaching methods, and have obtained satisfactory achievement. On the basis of my years'study of forehand drive, together with the assistance of computer technology, this essay aims to explore a new teaching approach that enables PE teachers to instruct their students according to their aptitudes, and hence to improve the quality of tennis teaching.According to the particularity of the tennis teaching environment and the diversity of the teaching content, the computer-assisted multidimensional teaching approach could be applied to inspire students to find the true meaning of tennis in their course of studying the theories and skills, to have a better understanding of the basic skills, knowledge and technical ability of tennis, and ultimately to arouse their interest and drive for the sport.In this new teaching approach, health and happiness are put in the first place. Individual teaching, classified teaching and overall teaching have been integrated in the whole teaching process, which is based on student's individual development and interests. On the basis of the application of the theory and methods in the designing and arrangement of tennis teaching, then according to the student's level, corresponding teaching methods and requirements are utilized. Different teaching objectives will enjoy corresponding teaching aim, reasonable teaching content and different intensity of training, which feeds the needs of students of different levels, thus achieves the purpose of teaching students according to their aptitudes.Through the statistical analysis of experimental team's and contrastive team's technical achievement, theoretical achievement, comprehensive achievement, teaching arrangement, teaching assessment and so on, disparity has been found between the two teams, and the results have been assessed. The analysis shows that the experimental team's achievement is better than that of the contrastive team. The computer-assisted teaching approach tries to realize the productive co-operation of the teacher and the students by encouraging students'personal development and the teacher's professional achievement. It could be widely applied in various aspects of tennis teaching, like the design of teaching contents, arrangement of the progress of teaching plans, etc. The data collected in my study proves the feasibility of the computer-assisted multidimensional teaching approach and its potential application in optimizing the structure of tennis teaching and promoting the effects of tennis teaching.
